Wooden panel with a visual presentation and an ambiguous, rather frivolous inscription is one among the 50 surviving shooting targets of the former Varazdin Shooters Association. The Association was founded in 1819, while its competitions took place at the shooting-range in Graberje, the former southern Varazdin suburb. Among it many members, there was one Johann Prosovsky who won the 1837 competition, probably with his own rifle. The target is the so called "souvenir board" with the winner's name inscribed after the competition. |
