A model made in its natural size in 1987, and donated by the Soviet Academy of Science. It landed on the Moon on 17 November, 1970. By 4 October, 1971, this self-propelled device controlled remotely from the Earth covered around 10.5 kilometers, performing various physical and chemical analyses of the Moon's surface.
