KUHAC, Franjo Ksaver
(Osijek, 1834 - Zagreb, 1911),
Osijek piano teacher and choir conductor, a renowned musicologist who was collecting and publishing popular musical heritage pieces. He taught piano in Zagreb, at the Croatian Musical Institute /HGZ/. A renowned comparative musicologist and music historian. Was working on musical terminology, even a dictionary. The most outstanding folklorist with 1,600 songs published, accompanied by piano.
