OKRUGIC, ILIJA
a priest and preacher in various places of the Bosnia, Djakovo and Syrmia diocese. "Sriemac" was his nickname. He wrote historic sketches, poems, plays, and the like. His works were published in a number of places where his office took him: Djakovo, Novi Sad, Vienna, Osijek, Petrovaradin, Karlovci, Zagreb. He also wrote for the following outstanding journals of the period: Danica Ilirska, Zora dalmatinska, Jadranski Slavjan, Neven, Podunavka, Glasonosa, Slavonac.
