The cultural and historical collection gathers items related to peasants’ revolts and life, and nobility and church throughout the feudal era, until the abolition of serfdom in 1848. Items documenting state of affairs on estates in Zagorje after the abolition are also included in the collection.

The ethnographic collection gathers items illustrating the management of a country estate, old crafts, and everyday life in villages.

The art collection gathers works of art inspired by the Peasants’ Revolt and the personality of Matija Gubec, as well as pieces of different authors related to the history and culture of Zagorje, by their origin or work.
