A magnate’s chain

Cast, enchased and engraved gilt silver, made around 1850 for the magistrate of the Royal Borough of Karlovac. It has two irregular heart-shaped fasteners, a chain with twenty-two segments connected with links and a central medallion. It is decorated with turquoise and alamandines.
