Choosing a detail from a Leonardo painting – the Mona Lisa’s hands – as basic motif for the poster, the authoress has pricked and tested out public opinion, examining just how recognisable this artwork, an icon of classical painting, really is. At the same time the painting inevitably connotes the museum in which it is held – the Louvre. The artist emphasis the dichotomy in the idea that relates to the work of art and the place it is kept – a museum – visually too: she forms the background in two colours. They have been chosen both for aesthetic reasons, and because of the symbolism of the colours. Gold is the symbol of quality and of the spirit, and together with green it is a universal symbol for renewal and immortality.

The poster is shaped in mega-format (composed of two parts).
